Tom & Chee’s first Pittsburgh restaurant will open in PPG Place in October.

PITTSBURGH —
Tom & Chee, the restaurant chain known for its appearance on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” will start serving up its melts, soups and grilled cheese donuts in Pittsburgh this fall.

The new restaurant will be located at 4 PPG Place, Downtown, right next to the PPG Place ice skating rink, a spokesperson confirmed Thursday. It will be open year-round, starting in October.

The Cincinnati-based company touts popular menu items including the bacon mac & chee melt (cheddar, mozzarella, bacon, mac and cheese), crunchy garlic melt (pepper jack, chicken sauteed onions, tomato, garlic aioli, kettle chips) and green goat salad (greens, goat cheese, toasted almonds, chicken, croutons, Balsamic dressing).

Favorite sweet treats include the grilled chee donut (grilled glazed donut and mild cheddar cheese) and the s’more donut (grilled glazed donut, graham cracker, chocolate pieces and marshmallow mascarpone).

Customers will also find lighter fare such as creamy tomato basil soup and a garden salad topped with bacon and grilled cheese croutons.

For those who aren’t familiar with the restaurant, a full menu is available at tomandchee.com.

Tom & Chee traces its beginnings back to a pop-up tent that catered to ice skaters at Cincinnati’s Fountain Square.

“We are excited to bring that story full circle in Pittsburgh in time for Tom & Chee’s 10th anniversary year with a brand-new restaurant close to Pittsburgh’s outdoor ice-skating rink,” said Roger David, President and CEO of Tom & Chee’s parent company, GSR Brands.
