Tom & Chee Announces Second Oklahoma City Restaurant

Fast-Casual Brand Made Famous on “Shark Tank” To Open Second OKC Location in 2021

Oklahoma City – April 30, 2021 – Cincinnati-based restaurant brand Tom & Chee, famous for its melts, soups, and grilled cheese donuts, announced today its plans to open its second Oklahoma City location in May 2021.

“We are thrilled to expand and bring Tom & Chee’s delicious menu of elevated melts, soups, salads and grilled cheese donuts to south Oklahoma City, Moore and the surrounding communities,” said franchise owner Rocky Iqbal, who owns and operates the Memorial Road Tom & Chee restaurant with his brother Khusro Iqbal. “Our craveable menu is well-loved by north Oklahoma City, so it was a natural fit to expand and bring the cheesy goodness to south OKC, too.”

The new restaurant, located at 9201 S Western Ave., Suite A, Oklahoma City, OK, 73139, features Tom & Chee’s new “&Crafted” style with natural wood elements and elevated design throughout the space. Summit Pointe Plaza will be the first Tom & Chee to include a pickup lane, allowing guests to order online and drive to pick up their order without ever leaving their vehicle. Additionally, there will be two parking spots dedicated for express/curbside-pick up.

“Rocky, Khusro and their entire team have operated Tom & Chee successfully since opening their first restaurant in Oklahoma City more than three years ago,” said Roger David, President and CEO of GSR Brands, the parent organization of Tom & Chee. “We’re thrilled to support them as they expand Tom & Chee to bring the cheesy goodness to more families across the region, and we know they’ll offer the same high level of service and delicious food guests have come to know and love from their Memorial Road restaurant.”

From handcrafted melts to savory soups and fresh salads, Tom & Chee’s menu offers elevated comfort food for everyone. It also offers guests options like gluten-free bread, vegan cheese and vegan/vegetarian soups. Top-selling menu items include The Bacon Mac & Chee Melt (cheddar, mozzarella, bacon & mac ‘n cheese on hearty white bread), Crunchy Garlic Chicken (Pepper Jack, chicken, sautéed onions, tomato, garlic aioli and kettle chips on hearty white bread), and the Kickin’ Chicken (Pepper Jack, fried chicken, sautéed onions, jalapeños and Kickin’ Sauce on hearty white bread). Both Tom & Chee locations are pork-free, substituting beef bacon for pork.

In addition to handcrafted melts and salads, Tom & Chee is known for its unique grilled sweet cheets. The famous Grilled Chee Donut (grilled glazed donut and mild cheddar cheese) and the S’more Donut (grilled glazed donut, graham cracker, chocolate pieces and marshmallow mascarpone) are fan favorites.

Lighter fare includes soup and salads like Tom & Chee’s Classic Tomato Soup, Creamy Tomato Basil Soup, Garden Grilled Cheese Salad (topped with bacon and grilled cheese croutons), and the Green Goat Salad (mixed greens, goat cheese, chicken, dried cranberries, almonds, house-made croutons, and balsamic vinaigrette).

Tom & Chee is actively seeking owners for new franchise opportunities throughout the Midwest. For more information on franchise opportunities, visit https://tomandcheefranchise.com/.
